1. Polarized Lenses
Polarized lenses in sunglasses have a special filter that protects your eyes from harmful UV radiations, blocks reflected light and eliminates glare. Polarized sunglasses and polarized goggles allow wearers to experience the outdoors "clearly" while still protecting their eyes from the sun's rays. Polarization of the lenses eliminates the glare created by water, snow, sand, and other reflective surfaces and reduces eye strain.
Advantages of polarized sunglasses:
2. 100% UV coating
Long-term exposure to UV rays can damage the eye’s surface as well as its internal structures, sometimes contributing to cataracts (clouding of the lens) and macular degeneration (breakdown of the macula). Your sunglasses must provide protection from ultraviolet radiation, a component of sunlight that contributes to eye disease. Always choose sunglasses that are labeled as blocking 99-100% of UV rays. Some manufacturers’ labels say "UV absorption up to 400nm." This is the same thing as 100% UV absorption.
