Nearsightedness or Myopia is a vision condition affecting about one third of the population. Nearsighted people can see near objects clearly while the distant objects remain blurred to them. It occurs when the eye ball is slightly longer than usual from front to back, thus the image of an object is not focussed correctly on the eye.
The sign of Myopia is difficulty in seeing distant objects, like that of highway signs, hoardings, TV screen or even blackboard. Eyestrain or eye fatigue while driving or playing sport is also one of the symptoms.
